Austria is a minor power in the southern part of Central Europe.
On March the 12th of 1938, Austrian National Socialists took over the government and German troops occupied the nation, on the next day, the "Anschluss von Österreich" was officially declared. Parliamentary elections were held on 10 April, asking whether voters approved the annexation of Austria. 98,9% said "yes".
Vienna was conquered on April the 13th of 1945, during a Soviet offensive.
