Trade screen

Trade is the exchange of goods between countries. Currently only Strategic Resources are known to be tradeable.

Resources to market[edit]

Depending on a country's Trade laws, a percentage of its domestic strategic resource production will be exported to the global market. These resources are unavailable for use by the producing country, seemingly regardless of whether trade deals have been struck for those resources. It is likely that the amount of resources exported will also determine how much the country can import, but no specifics are known yet.

Making trades[edit]

A country can import goods from any country that is exporting those goods. At current the exporter does not need to approve the deal. The percentage of an exporter's exports that a single country can import is limited. It is unknown whether this limit is determined by the importer's economic laws, trade laws, or something else.

The importer lose some Civilian IC as the cost of importing. It is unknown if the exporter can use these civilian factories.

A "for civilian factories" value is shown; however, it does not currently appear to have any effect on other values.

It is unknown how priority is determined if more than one importer wants a good from the same exporter.

Transporting goods[edit]

Overseas trade requires Convoys, which are vulnerable to enemy action.

Distance to the trade partner seems to be reflected in the trade screen as a modifier that is high for nearby countries and low for distant countries. This may affect the effectiveness of convoys, but no specifics have been shown yet.
