Today we are happy to present our version 0.8b which is still beta because of some things which we think are necessary to call the project “final”. The mod is a non-profit project operated by fans. Star Wars, its characters, locations, weapons and all associated items are the intellectual property of Lucasfilm. ©2009 Lucasfilm Ltd. & ™ All rights reserved. The new version contains the three new maps (“Bespin”, “Bestine” and “Not A Cave”), a revised “Mos Eisly”, new weapons and also a new game type called Very Important Droid (VID). We hope you will enjoy playing! Thanks to all who supported us within the last months. We are still stunned by the enormous feedback we have received. Around 50000 downloads and more than 700000 visitors on YouTube are the backbone of our motivation to go on with the mod. A lot of your ideas and recommendations are already integrated to this release and others will follow with the final version. There is for example still no further kill streak and Tie-Fighter as well as X-Wing are used instead of Tie-Bomber and Y-Wing. But those things are already in the works. You will hopefully enjoy our new version of SWM: Galactic Warfare for the time being and we hope to see you on our server for some battle.
